I'm Scanning New Art ...

I'll have new posts soon. The move has left a lot of stuff in shambles. I have a few more boxes to grt out of storage. Those should have the last of my art supplies.

Lack of Content...

Due to not enough time in the day ( working, drawing, family, moving, etc) there has been a lack of post on the Brain Pan Color page.
Once we're moved and situated, the page will be thriving.
I have several works in progress to demo. So give it some time and Brain Pan
will be zooming along. again.

Practice piece

This I did last night. It took abut 3-4 hours but I was worth it. I knew
from the beginning what I wanted this to look like.
I only had problems with the back wall design. I was still
tweaking it today.
This is a gorgeous drawing from the brilliant Ed Benes.
With art this good coloring is a dream.

Latest Piece for Strictly Underground

This was a fun piece to do for Strictly Joe. I had a lot of fun working out the color scheme

and getting the effects to work out.

I was so geeked to do it I don't know if this is a pinup or poster. The art is from Skottie Young

but I didn't find out who did the inks.

New Art Coming Soon

I just started a new piece for Strictly Joe and his Punx of Rage series.
Its drawn by Chicago native Scotti Young. The artist who inked it name
escapes me but I'll get that and repost with it.
Anyway, the style is got that street kid urban energy. The style is like the
Pyra piece I posted here. Speaking the Pyra picture, I'll rescan and post it here.
To show the detail and look of the character.

Caramel Delight

This was just finished for an online adult group.
He's relaunching the site due some organizational issues.
I did this design as a side piece. He saw it and wanted me to work it up to a fully finished logo.

Bug Monster

This is a practice piece I did recently.

Its one I started at my day job. I was inspired by a post apocalyptic roleplaying game. It had a wide variety of mutations and monsters throughout the book series. This was created in pencil between calls. I went through about 3 or 4 drafts ( if I can find them I'll post them ).

I like how this came together. I see a couple of nitpicker things I don't like but overall I'm happy with it.

Run by Benda

This piece was a homage piece to the classic RUN DMC logo from the 80's.

Run is the title of the song by the rapper Benda. the video was shoot at a live performance. The design was plastered on the wall like streetbills on the wall behind him as he performed.

Its good to see something we worked so hard on came out really well.
